RTE as Seen on HGTV Smart Home 2021!
The RTE team recently got a chance to appear on HGTV in HGTV’s Smart Home 2021! For this year’s show, HGTV selected Naples, Florida as the location to build a technologically advanced home that will be awarded to the winner of the sweepstakes along with a new Mercedes-Benz E-Class Cabriolet and $100,000.00 (ENTER HERE).
To highlight what makes this area so special and take a break from the construction and design of this amazing smart home, hosts Ty Pennington & Carmen Johnston joined guides Ryan & Winston of Rising Tide Explorers for a kayaking adventure into the mangrove tunnels of the Rookery Bay Research Reserve! Ty and Carmen were a lot of fun and excited to learn about this incredible place as we explored one of the largest mangrove forests in the world together. They were both full of life and had lots of great questions, excited to learn about this unique natural area and it’s wildlife while we ‘MOVED THAT YAK’ through the winding mangrove tunnels (Sorry Ty…had to do it).
We found a few critters along our journey including sea stars, lightning whelks, crown conchs, banded tulips, and a number of our local wading birds including a Great Blue Heron (AKA ‘GBH’ or Estuary Pterodactyl). It was a great adventure, and you can see it all on HGTV Smart Home 2021! Both Captain Ryan and Winston had a great time sharing our favorite place with Ty, Carmen, and the entire Country on HGTV!
