Sunset to Full Moon Cruise

Rookery Bay & Keewaydin Island

This one-of-a-kind tour takes place as the sun begins to hang low in the sky in the beautiful Rookery Bay. Guests will have the opportunity to visit the famous bird rookery island where hundreds of pelican, herons, egrets, and ibis gathered for the night, cruise around remote parts of the reserve in search of unique wildlife, and visit Keewaydin Island, renowned for its shell-strewn beaches and pastel sunsets. Enjoy the beach until the magical moment when the sun sinks into the Gulf and the stars begin to pop in the night sky. Moon light will be your guide back to our boat for the journey home.

As darkness gradually enfolds you, begin the leisurely return cruise through the back bays of the reserve, becoming immersed in the sights, sounds and sensations of night in a mangrove-forested estuary under the light of the full moon.
